I have just launched Liteleaf, a collaborative, self-hosted LaTeX editing tool. The platform was built for people who enjoy writing collaboratively in LaTeX without having to assemble complex infrastructure or pay a small fortune for proprietary applications. In standalone mode, Liteleaf can run even on a Raspberry Pi 4 or 5; for greater demands, it can scale across multiple containers and servers. This flexibility makes it suitable for settings ranging from small groups to laboratories, universities, and publishers.

Liteleaf brings the file tree, editor, and PDF preview together in a single workspace. Collaboration happens in real time, with presence and remote cursors, while the integrated compiler supports TeX Live, BibTeX, Biber, and SyncTeX, as well as line-level diagnostics.
The platform also includes interactive spell checking in English and Brazilian Portuguese, optional assistance from local models through Ollama, ZIP project exports, and integration with private Git repositories. Institutional deployments gain tools for managing users, permissions, authentication, auditing, and quotas.
